We're Roosters, Not Kids!
Kids (from the other room while I'm trying to work, forty-five minutes into what is supposed to be their nap time): "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Me (coming in to find each wedged into one of the cubbies in their playroom bookshelf): "What are you doing?"
SIs: "We're roosters, not kids! And we're in our coops!"
Me (stifling laughter): "Well, you are roosters in need of a nap! To bed!"
(P.S. It is now an hour-and-a-half past their nap time, and they are still up. Sigh. I would let them give up naps but they are crazy-cranky when they don't sleep in the afternoons...)
