Halloween Is Coming (Costumes 2014, Part 1)

We've spent the past couple weeks asking the kids what they want to be for Halloween. (Their grandma who lives with us has made costumes for them each year, and has very graciously offered to do so again.)

A few times the answer has been, "Trash Truck" (Luke) or "Trains" (both kids) or "Dog-Dog" (what the kids call their little stuffed schnauzers; Sissy) or "A Tiger!" (Luke), but most of the time they say, "Sarah and Duck!" (which is a little cartoon out of the UK that the kids love, and it's actually one of the few (maybe only?) shows they watch that I genuinely like, too.)

So Sarah and Duck it is. My mother-in-law and I went to the fabric store yesterday. She is the brains (and muscle) behind this operation...can't wait to see what she does! (And will be sure to post some pictures here.)
