Trash Truck Day

"Mommy, what day is it?" Luke asks me every day of the week. "Is it Trash Truck Day?"

Trash Truck Day is Tuesday, and it is not an exaggeration to say it is the highlight of the week.

The kids listen for the trash truck from inside the house and when they hear it they say, "Mommy! Mommy! Trash Truck!!!!" and we run outside as fast as we can.

Sometimes, like today, it's across the street. 

Sometimes it's right in front of the house when we get outside and when that happens, the trash man uses the arm of the truck to push the can in extra far, close to us.

Love that such little things bring the kids such pleasure.
