Kid Cuteness, May 18, 2015
Zo, when I told her it was time to leave the bike park (holding her hand out in the "stop" gesture): "NO!!!! NEVER!!!!"
Zo, talking about what we might see on our drive to Steamboat: "Maybe we'll see a giraffe!"
Me: "You guys are awesome!"
Zo: "Yes we are!"
Luke, not coming to the dinner table: "I'm lolly-gagging!"
Luke, hanging upside-down at the playground: "Look at me! I'm an upside-down sloth!"
Zo, referring to her and Luke as baby kitties: "The baby kitties are FREAKING OUT!!!" (There are a variety of animals they impersonate every day...yesterday from Luke it was, "Hi, mommy humpback whale. Baby humpback whale wants to snuggle.")
Zo: "I have a thorn in my paw." (Said with crayons wedged between her fingers.)
Me: "Oooh...that's more than one thorn in there...how many are there?"
Zo: "One, two, three, LOTS!"
Luke, driving by Rabbit Ears Motel, which has a great pink neon bunny sign out front: "I bet the Easter Bunny flies in with his helicopter and stays at the Bunny Ears Motel!"
Daddy, at bedtime: "I'm going to count down from five, after which you kids better be in bed. Otherwise the tickle monster is coming. Five, four..."
Upon which Zo runs to my arms and hops into them and says, "Go Mommy! Hurry! Take me to bed! Hurry, hurry hurry!"
(I was laughing so hard there was no way I could walk her to their room...)

Sunday Adventure
Daddy wasn't feeling terrific this morning, so after fixing the kids eggs and pineapple and bagels with cream cheese for breakfast, and reading eight library books to them on the top bunk, I took them out for a little adventure.
It had snowed overnight but the snow was pretty much gone by the time we got out. We parked at Mt. Werner Road and went west all the way to the botanical gardens, the river is high and there were puddles EVERYWHERE. And fishermen everywhere, one of whom said to me, "You've got a fisherman in that boy, he found the deepest [puddle] water and went for it." Needless to say, by the time we got back to the car the kids were wet, but what troopers they were, riding their bikes the whole way even with wet feet and jeans (and it wasn't the warmest).
Lovely morning...
