14/50, kids' first ski race + ridiculous excitement over the cousins coming

1. Shortest day on the mountain ever--I wanted to do more than 2 short runs but Zo said, "We did what we came here to do, now let's go home." lol. What we came to do was the Soda Pop Slalom, the kids' first-ever ski race and I am ridiculously proud of them!! Zo especially because she was scared to do it but she did it anyway...way to go Zo-Zo! And also I love how Rainbow Dash came along on Luke's jacket...
2. Good work day after not being able to work yesterday...
3. Kids cannot wait to see their cousins! Zo made name cards for everyone to know where to sit for dinner and the kids made dinner for Bodie and Bailee while I was in the shower, which seems to consist of mashed bananas, apples, sprinkles and granola. (Sorry Bodie and Bailee!)
4. Luke wanted to play in the water in the kitchen sink and I told him he could if he did a science experiment with it, so he wrote out his hypothesis and then tested it...he's so good at sounding out words and I'm loving that I'm getting to teach my kids the scientific method...
5. We're about to get snowwwww!!! And I have nothing to do tomorrow except for kids and mountain and company I love...
