Hawaii with a heart, handwriting practice + Luke and Zo go food shopping

  1. Cute chalk pictures on the ground outside...especially love the one of the world with all the continents and Hawaii with a heart around it that Zo drew...
  2. Zo sharing her handwriting book from school with me, she's worked hard on all the letters...her handwriting looks great...
  3. Kids and I started watching American Ninja Warrior...fun to watch together. Zo says she'd only run the course if her Daddy put a bunch of cookies at the end, lol...
  4. There was mutiny at breakfast this week kids not wanting to eat what I made...and then when we were going to the store yesterday a request that the kids get to pick their own food...I said yes if they followed the guidelines which were there needed to be fruits and vegetables in the baskets, and protein, and Zo could pick a treat but just one (Luke had lost that privilege), and Luke could pick a cereal but it couldn't be sugar cereal. So there they were, zooming around the store thrilled to be big kids, each with their black plastic hand-held basket. A couple with a 1-year-old in the front of their cart said to their little girl as Luke and Zo passed at top speed, checking out vegetable choices, "Look, that'll be you someday." And you know what? I was so proud of my kiddos and the food choices they made. Healthy choices and all stuff they were excited to eat. And we got home and they made their own dinners and then ate every bite. #momwin
  5. Coffee and quiet to start the day today...and a hike to Grass Rock with the kiddos and then the hot springs and a massage to look forward to later...

Happy weekend!

XOXO
