Heart surgery, horses, Teacher Appreciation + a great Mother's Day
It’s been an unusual and then totally normal couple weeks:
My dad had heart surgery, so grateful I was able to be in Grand Junction with him and my mom. He’s home now and getting better each day which is wonderful
Jeff and I got our second Covid shot and were both pretty sick the next day but it was fine aside from that
There are some new ducks at the duck pond!
We decorated the 3rd grade teacher’s door for Teacher Appreciation Week…the whole family helped, it was fun
We’re still doing dinner delivery and kids night Thursdays. Word is out in the neighborhood that Thursday night is “do whatever you want night” at our household haha
Zo is doing horseback riding lessons once a week and liking it a lot
There’s a big crane in town as they are expanding the harbor. We went by it to go to the library which has just opened back up (although the day we went it was closing for lunch when we stopped by so we’ll have to try another time)
Yesterday was Mother’s Day and we did a small gathering at John and Jo’s for Mother’s Day and Jo’s niece’s 2nd birthday…with a beautiful lilikoi cake shaped as a plumeria…it was a fun afternoon. The kids and Jeff also spoiled me with french press coffee and gifts at 6 AM as a little celebration before I met friends to surf some great waves at Guardrails. It was a good day.
Happy Monday!!
