Last week of summer vacation
What a great week we’ve had! Breakfast at “Daddy’s Hotel” (always a treat) and a viewing of the pool construction, a walk to S Turns and the biggest turtle I’ve ever seen, beach dinner with Jerica (Beyond Meat burgers, so yummy), meeting Habeeba at Secret Beach, the kids love the waves pulling them in and out of the cove and there’s a great climbing tree there too!
Also a close-up sighting of the pink sparkle truck and—bonus!—the driver had her hair in retro curlers (we were getting ready for potential hurricanes at Costco). Back to Jui Jitsu, packing up of school supplies and taking them into school (kids each had a checklist to make sure we got everything), stamps for letters, newly organized art caddies (with kids drawing on our bed one afternoon), slowly planting the garden one thing at a time…this picture is our arugula, a trip to Hoi Hoi Bakery (my new favorite thing about Hawaii) with Zo pretending her donut was a unicorn horn, Luke catching a lizard to put outside and then the lizard didn’t want to get off him.
Tomorrow a trip into Kahului (Jeff promised the kids Fun Factory as a last summer treat and I also think we’re going to see a movie) and Sunday time at our beach (storms permitting) and prepping for the first day of second grade!
Happy Friday Everyone!
