Bye-bye, coconut

We had a huge coconut in our backyard that was diseased and we knew needed to come down to keep it from being blown on the house…and I also worried about the kids in the back yard. It came down this week, sad to see it go but I know it was the right thing.

“The Tongans are coming tomorrow,” Jeff said the night before and sure enough, three of the nicest guys came and made short work of the tree, and trimmed the rest of our coconuts as well. They refused to let me pay them, saying Jeff gives them work at the hotel and they are happy to do something for him. So awesome.

Same day Jeff also got a huge bag of frozen fish from one of his guys who was up in Alaska on a fishing trip. Love being married to a man who people like to do nice things for. :)
