- Luke insisting he eat breakfast all set for ski school...
- Getting everyone dressed, packed and out the door ready for skiing/boarding plus a change of clothes for preschool plus a packed lunch for the kids to eat in the car between ski lessons and preschool...Thursdays are going to be hectic around here for a little while...
- Great powder morning spent over on Pony side...
- Work has been so reasonable lately. I can get everything done. How the heck do I keep it this way??
- About to curl up in Luke's bed with the kids and a nice stack of library books...

Grace in small things, January 11, 2017
- Screen time with Daddy, who got off work early. (And thus a little found work time for Mommy...)
- Sweet friends over to play, and three of the four kids hopped in a bubble bath together in the middle of the afternoon...love the spontaneity... :)
- Information night this evening at the Montessori charter school. Lots to like about what they're doing...
- Ski lessons start tomorrow, so organization tonight getting all the kids clothes together plus stuff for preschool which I'll drive them to right after, plus lunches to eat in the car on the way plus all my gear so I can ride while they're skiing...love that I get to do this stuff...
- Had to sweep snow off the porch and our chairs to do it but it's porch time under the electric blankets shortly...

- Waking up super early and having some quiet time with a fire and candles and a cup of hot coffee...feels like such a luxury to have that...
- Weird snow this morning (it rained yesterday), but it was powder and super fun...
- Busy work day but all went smoothly...
- Kids did their first ice skating lesson today...they are excited to go back and were so dang cute...
- My husband's done with the crazy late nights he's been doing...glad to have him back with us...

- Luke had the hiccups and was frustrated because he couldn't make them go away. I sat with him and tickled him, love the laughter that gets out of him but it didn't stop the hiccups. "Let's see if some hugs and love will stop them," I said and we snuggled and they stopped and then Zo from across the room started fake-hiccuping so I had her come over for snuggles too. And then the kids told me I needed to have the hiccups and then I got all the love as well...
- Luke at the dinner table, blowing on a "wishing seed" Zo had on her pepper slice. "I'm going to tell you my wish Mommy because I know it will come true," he said. "I wish for snuggles tonight!"
- Winnie-the-Pooh from the library...this is the first "big kid" chapter book I've read to the kids...they are really enjoying it...
- Kids painting and drawing this morning...
- Lots of organizational stuff accomplished today...errands, letters, 2016 paperwork put to rest, etc.

Grace in small things, January 8, 2018
- Took the kids to our little ski hill this morning, where I push them up and they ski down and a) powder makes this process difficult and b) what a great workout for Mommy! and c) what good little skiers they are from last year! Psyched for lessons to start later this week...
- Lunch with Daddy, including hot chocolate with the prettiest whipped cream topping (for the kids, alas, none for me...)
- Hours and hours at the hot springs this afternoon with the kids full-on swimming. Today is the first day I feel like they could save themselves if they got in the water by accident. Luke especially has got the pop your head up for breath thing down...
- Me: "Hey Zoey, what it that over there? An icicle?" Zo: "Yes!!!" And after she went and grabbed it: "Thanks for making my dreams come true!!!"
- Zo to Daddy as he left for work: "I love you Daddy! I'll never stop loving you!"

- Zo coming downstairs this morning to find me reading by the fire, gathers up some of her library books and climbs into my lap, meanwhile the sunrise is turning the sky pink...lovely time with my girl first thing...
- Luke: "What if we live forever?" Me: "How are you going to do that?" "Luke: "By eating too much healthy food??"
- The kids were so good grocery shopping with me today...
- Luke starting to engineer marble tracks on his own...
- Charlie Sexton on the guitar...incredible...
Grace in small things, January 6, 2016
- Kids sharing a secret during our little lunch date at Starbucks...
- Zo to me: "When we get home, Luke and I are going to give you a triple tackle triple pounce hug!" (One of our things lately is the kids both hugging me until they've got me on the ground...)
- Great evening with friends, talking honestly about where we were last year and where we want to go...
- Zo: "Mommy, can I climb through the snow to get that icicle?" Me: "No." Zo (full-on whining): "Ohhhhh! You never want me to have my dreams come true!!"
- Super cold here right now, my phone says minus 15 degrees at the moment...everything looks so crisp and perfect in this cold...and I'm grateful it's not this cold here that often!

- Impromptu tea party with the kids this afternoon...they tell me we can only have tea parties on days that start with "T," lol...
- Epic morning on the mountain...
- Up early so most of my workday done before leaving the house...
- Snuggling on the couch with the kids discussing their birthday party that won't happen until March...they're so excited about it already...
- Pulling on the comfiest/prettiest PJs ever, a sweet gift from my husband...

- Zo playing in our circle while I walked the dog...
- Powder where I always find it...
- Day 2 of the Whole 30 and feeling really good...
- Kids are doing so great with their sticker chore charts (which are now tied to small allowances)...
- Candlelight at dinner...
- Luke and Zo know every nursery rhyme in their book, and tonight instead of me reading to them they took turns "reading" while the other acted out the rhyme. Pretty hilarious...
