A hard and fun yoga/ballet class after drop-off…have never done anything quite like it but it was a good workout!

Charlotte helping with the kids, so appreciated…they (Charlotte and kids) spent a little time watching “crazy cat videos” as Zo calls them, and the kids laughed so hard…love hearing them laugh…

An adventure up north...
A little adventure up north yesterday, the highlight of which was the blowhole, it was really blowing. It’s like a geyser, so cool…Jeff and Luke and I hiked down (Zo and Charlotte stayed up top) and we stayed a safe distance but it was so great to see it as close as we did…the whooshing sound and the salt spray in the air and the color of the ocean there is so beautiful…
Major sale shopping at Gymboree for the kids…I got 8 pairs of PJs (all of theirs are too small right now) and 6 summer T-shirts for $75…
My husband’s been making dinner lately which is so great…tonight once Charlotte and the kids are back from their sunset beach outing is bean and cheese burritos, yum…
Clean sheets to snuggle into tonight…
Still patiently watching for the whales…

It's cold here (lol), flowers in the window box + feels good to be going to yoga!
It got down to 71 degrees F the other day and Zo wanted to wear a sweatshirt lol…
We did Operation Christmas Child this year and just dropped off our boxes…what a great thing to do with the kids…

Look what came home with us the other day to add some tropical flair to our living room…
Kids putting “stowaways” (aka a favorite stuffie) in their school backpacks in the morning…
Kids favorite joke at the moment: “Why did the chicken go halfway across the road? Because he wanted to lay it on the line!”
And speaking of chickens, a mama with day old chicks was hanging out outside the airport yesterday…baby chicks are the cutest…
Yoga for the first time in forever yesterday and even after just one time I feel amazing…I think yoga’s just what I need right now…
Feeling so grateful and lucky to be living on Maui this morning…

Wild Maui, getting what I need for surfing + who's going to win Monopoly?
Thursday was our last day with my parents, we went north to hike the Ohai Trail and then drove around the west part of the island for the first time, so fun. Miss them. So glad they’ll be back in February!

Homework helpers, AC + where are the whales?
Grammy and Papa have been so great helping with homework! They’re headed home tonight and we’re so sad to see them go but it’s easier knowing they’ll be back soon. :)
A little hiking and driving adventure with my parents today, so fun!
Keep watching for whales…will be so thrilling when we finally spot one…
So grateful for our new air conditioning! Gosh it’s still so hot outside!
About to do pick-up…and have a nice afternoon with Grammy and Papa and then a yummy dinner before driving to the airport…

Girls day, concepting + the sound of conch shells
Wonderful, wonderful day with my mom, she surprised me and treated me to a massage, and then lunch, and then shopping at Whalers Village…love the colors and cheery prints at Lilly Pulitzer…Zo and I have been talking about getting matching dresses for Christmas, maybe we’ll go there…
So appreciate all the parent help with drop-off/pick up and homework these past couple weeks…
A hike on the costal trail this morning, beautiful as always and fun to show my parents for the first time…

The duck pond, Zombie Attack! + date night
Hiked to the duck pond yesterday with the kids and my parents, what fun we had!
So wonderful to have my parents visiting, I can’t tell you…
Date night with my husband last night! We had the most delicious Italian meal at Sale Pepe which I think is my new favorite restaurant…
Some alone time with Zo yesterday morning while Luke went with his Daddy to work…we got a little snack at the health food store and sat snuggled together oceanside talking about what we could see/hear/taste/smell/feel and then we played “Zombie Attack” at the playground where one person stuck their arms out and walked slowly and said “Brains!” and tried to get the other person. Super fun…
