25/50

Fun with the cousins and a visit to our mountain lion friend. Zo hasn't always been super enthusiastic about skiing this year but she had a ball and her skiing is getting so good. Picnic at the teepees was super fun too. Another great day...and now I'm off to paradise...at DIA about to board a flight to Maui...

Happy Easter!

Rainbow song, nice people + the Cheeta Cheater

  1. Kids took the money they've been raising to the Humane Society yesterday...a really special thing for them to do, I know it made them feel really good to help the doggies and kitties. Here's Luke at the rainbow statute outside their front door singing...
  2. Our homeowner's association manager coming over to help us with the fire alarm that's been chirping in the middle of the night...not his job at all...so nice of him to help...
  3. And speaking of nice people, I'd promised Luke a lunch pack (meat, cheese, crackers, chocolate bear cookies) for dinner after grocery shopping...and realized I'd forgotten it with half my groceries unloaded in the checkout line. I was facing a meltdown and unsure what to do when the guy behind me in line asked me what it was we needed and where and went back and got it for us.
  4. Finally got to talk with a friend of mine yesterday whose dad just died...love her...
  5. Luke made a little cheeta-spotted airplane in school he calls the "Cheeta Cheater." Apparently, it eats lambs, which upsets Zo. "Luke, why can't the Cheeta Cheater eat something else?" I asked him. "It can't. Eating lambs is its' biology. It's how it evolved." And I had to laugh because that's how I answer lots of his questions about the natural world...
  6. It's snowing hard! And my sis-in-law and the cousins are coming!!

Happy Wednesday!

Start of spring in Junction, grandparent cuteness + fun on the Monument

IMG_8805.JPG
  1. Great trip to Grand Junction over a 4-day weekend we had off school...love visiting my parents...
  2. Zo was crying the other night because she missed Daddy and Luke ran upstairs and got the book "My Dad, My Hero"...reading it calmed Sis right down...he's so sweet to her...
  3. Zo lost her second tooth at dinner the other night...she swallowed it before she realized what was happening lol...
  4. Luke calling the little area on the other side of the Pancake Flapper a magical place...and Zo working at climbing until she achieved her goal...the big smile on her face was priceless...
  5. Zo to Papa: "If I don't get a cookie I'm DOOMED!!"
  6. Luke to Papa after Papa had cleaned his dirty napkin with water and put it back on his lap. "Papa! I don't like being a drying rack!"
  7. Kids sooooo excited to play with Ann...
  8. Luke teaching Papa how to play his "Uphill Racer" game and the two of them + Zo taking turns racing...

Happy Monday!
