Mustang Roundup
Car show with Daddy, downtown Steamboat. Love the colors of these old cars...
Gravel Pit
One of the kids' favorite places these days...they play in it like a sandbox...
Yampa Valley Regional Airport
Last weekend on the way from Steamboat to Junction we stopped at the airport open house, which was awesome. Hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch, policemen, all sorts of truck for the kids to climb in (de-icer, fire trucks just for plane fires, etc.), and the coolest part--a chance to ride bikes on the runway. (The airport is currently having work done to its runway and is closed. It'll be fun to say as we talk off or land, "I rode my bike right here!"

Spring 2015 Playlist
Music that's held us in good stead through a rainy spring and lots and lots of road trips. Zo always asks me to play "Down by the Riverside" and "See You Again." Luke asks for "Rainy Day Woman." They both want to see the album cover pictures on my iPhone for each song. Love that they listen to grown up music and that it doesn't have to be kid's stuff...
- Riverside, Agnes Obel
- Quiet Town, Josh Rouse
- His Gorgeousness, The Shoe
- I Am Mine, Brooke Waggoner
- Georgia, Vance Joy
- The Wait, Tobias Jesso Jr.
- Wildest Dreams, Taylor Swift

First Ever Emerald Mountain Hike
Bear bells are in effect. We had a nice picnic lunch in the shade and walked through a big meadow, off the trail, at the halfway point.
"There's tall, prickly grass on Emerald Mountain!" Luke told people he ran into all day.

A Few Pics From Our Road Trip
From Sis hogging the bed we were sharing to crossing back into Colorado and it's incredible beauty everywhere you turn (yay!) to crazy snow out of Durango and tales of a snow monster from Daddy to gorgeous waterfalls to an evening with my parents to Glenwood Canyon and a new way home (through Wolcott and Oak Creek)...a really nice trip...kids were amazing...we had such a good time...

Anatomy of a Move
We went down to ABQ this past week to finalize things down there.
"It's weird being back," I said to my husband. "We've been gone for 2 months already."
"Yeah," he said. "It's like going back to your exes' house to get back your T-shirt."
Anyway...I liked ABQ and could have seen us staying there. I'm SO THRILLED...beyond thrilled...to be back in Colorado, but still...always hard for me to say goodbye...we had some good times in this house...my kids were little in this house...
We had movers as part of Jeff's new job...they were AMAZING...so grateful to have their help. So it wasn't hard for us physically, but still, by the time we got home, we were exhausted...
The first day the house went from intact to boxes.
We were mostly there to answer questions, and tried to stay out of everyone's way. Bubs got some backyard playtime in. Daddy had everyone hide from the camera.
The second day things got put on the truck. This is John. He was AMAZING. Nicest guy ever.
An (unsuccessful) attempt at naps.
Zo's favorite stuffie, the one she cuddles in her arms as she goes to sleep--Lambekins--was accidentally packed. Which necessitated and emergency trip to Toys-R-Us for a replacement...hence, the appearance in our lives of "Bun Bun Sweetie" (named by Zo). Zo has been remarkably mellow about the whole "Lambekins is going on an adventure!" situation.
The house got emptier and emptier...until it was time to go.
John let Zo make BIG noise with the semi's horn. Luke didn't want to (he covered his ears and shook his head no), or he could have, too.
Bye, John!
Bye, stuff!
Bye, Lambekins!
See you in Steamboat sometime in July!

One Last Picture With the ABQ House Intact
It was so nice to be in our house with our stuff, even if the next morning it all got dismantled. Love the new place we're moving into, but I really loved this house too...sad letting it go...

Papa's Wagon
Papa's Grandpa, who was a cowboy and a blacksmith, made Papa a wagon when he was a little boy. Papa fixed it up for the kids a few days ago, and it's so perfect for them...just the right size and it works great, they had such fun pulling each other around...
